A full-time, fixed-term position is available in Port Moresby, with an initial one-year contract and potential for renewal. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with two years’ experience or a high school certificate with five years’ relevant work experience. Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of other UN languages, especially French or Spanish, is a plus.
As the UN’s lead agency for reproductive health and rights, UNFPA seeks motivated professionals to support the achievement of key global goals—ending preventable maternal deaths, unmet family planning needs, and gender-based violence.
This role involves providing essential programme, financial, and administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Duties include assisting with project planning, preparing budgets, organizing meetings, maintaining financial records, coordinating monitoring visits, and handling documentation. The role also supports knowledge-sharing and communication among teams and stakeholders.
Candidates should demonstrate strong ethics, results orientation, and teamwork. Skills in financial management, logistical coordination, data handling, and effective communication are essential. Experience in the UN system is advantageous.
